The Brief

Seaweed Biotech was created with an ambitious goal: build a vertically integrated seaweed farming and biotechnology company in Mauritius capable of controlling the entire value chain, from seedling production to processing and commercialization.

When I joined the project, the company was still in its early development stage. While the operational expertise, technical knowledge, and long-term vision already existed, much of the information lived in conversations, notes, and fragmented documents.

The challenge was to transform a complex business concept into a clear, credible, and investor-ready company capable of attracting funding, partnerships, and future customers.

Behind The Scenes

What started as a branding project quickly evolved into a much broader company-building role.

I developed the complete visual identity system, including logos, brand guidelines, tone of voice, graphic assets, and communications foundations. From there, I built the company's first communications strategy, social media strategy, content pillars, and launch concepts across multiple platforms.

Beyond branding, I helped structure investor-facing materials by redesigning the fundraising narrative, reorganizing the pitch deck, refining messaging, and creating outreach frameworks for investor prospecting. I also contributed to documenting operational knowledge and turning scattered information into structured business, communication, and strategic materials that could support future growth.

Working across biotechnology, sustainability, aquaculture, and entrepreneurship required translating highly technical concepts into clear and accessible messaging for audiences with very different objectives.

The Final Cut

The company is currently in the fundraising phase, with operations planned following investment.

To date, the project has resulted in a complete brand identity system, comprehensive brand guidelines, communications strategy, social media framework, investor outreach materials, redesigned fundraising deck, and a structured documentation foundation to support future development.

While the business itself is still being built, the work completed so far has helped transform an early-stage concept into a coherent and professional company platform ready to engage investors, partners, and future stakeholders.
